Nancy Van House

Nancy Van House was trained in library and information studies.  Her earlier work related to social computing included an investigation of trust and credibility of  biodiversity information from professionals and citizen scientists. Currently, she is studying visual social media and multimodality, including emergent uses of cameraphones and Flickr (individually and together). For the workshop, she is taking time off from a study of an archaeological field education project that creates interpretive walks and other installations for the public and involves wireless technology, digital geomapping, and storytelling at the Presidio of San Francisco.
